ELECTRICAL ENGINEER: Pacific Power Source - 11-2005 to 06-2007
Pacific Power Source is a small (23 employees total) manufacturer of AC power sources. Until recently the engineering staff consisted of one engineering manager who also did design engineering and one electrical engineer who also did network administration -- me. As one of the two Electrical Engineers in this small company, I wore many hats. I resurrected a partly-finished automated test system, reducing the time to complete final production test from eight hours to under one hour, while at the same time doing a far more comprehensive test. I also spent a fair amount of time helping the production technicians with various troubleshooting issues I was in charge of the local area network, the security and fire alarm system, the phone system, and all other aspects of plant management that involved electrical or electronics systems.
